Space Step

The Space Step represents a physical or virtual location in your journey. It's ideal for creating immersive experiences with images, panoramas, or floor plans.

Overview

Space Steps are the foundation of location-based journeys. They can display:

  • Regular Images: Photos or illustrations of locations
  • 360° Panoramas: Immersive spherical images users can explore
  • Floor Plans: Interactive maps with hotspot

Properties

Image Types

Choose the image type that best suits your content:

  1. Standard Image: A regular photo or illustration
  2. Panorama (360°): A spherical image that users can pan around

Floor Plan Options

When using Floor Plan mode:

  • Enable Floor Plan View: Toggle to activate floor plan mode

  • Select floor plan: Select a floor plan that was already uploaded in your organization

For Panoramas

  • Use equirectangular projection

  • Use clear labels for different areas
  • Place a hotspot by clicking on the floor plan at the location your space step is

  • Real Estate: Virtual property walkthroughs
  • Training: Familiarize employees with workspaces

Not Generated by the Journey Wizard

Space Steps are not produced by the Journey Wizard. They rely on imagery you need to supply yourself — panoramic photos, uploaded floor plans or curated images with hotspots — which cannot be inferred from a text prompt or document. If you want a Space Step in a wizard-generated journey, open the journey in the builder after the wizard finishes and add the Space Step manually. See: journey-wizard.
